I bring piles of special stones home from my favorite places – red sandstone from the southern Utah desert, smooth round flat ones from the coast of Oregon. If I forgot a bag or can’t talk anyone into carrying them for me then I take pictures of the piles. If there isn’t a pile then I build one, sometimes by myself and sometimes with my family.
According to the Collins Dictionary online, a CAIRN is “a pile of stones which marks a boundary, a route across rough ground, or the top of a mountain. A cairn is sometimes also built in memory of someone.”
When I see a cairn I know that I am right where I’m supposed to be, on my route across rough ground.
I offer this website and my services as a sort of HealthCAIRN to you; you are right where you are supposed to be.
